The results show us that the business investigation in China is taken to be the same category with private detective by mistake. Strictly speaking, private detective is part of the investigation industry, which consists of market investigation, business investigation and so on. And it seems that the public opinion of the private detective in China is mostly negative. This is not an objective viewpoint. Even in China now, the private detectives’ emergence is to meet the need of the society. Their contribution to the steady condition of the economy is far more than the troubles from some of them to the system. This is a coin with two sides. Not albatross from the criticism of the media but the objective and fair-minded comment makes goodness to the development of the industry. The sagacious attitude is to be the obliger who gives advice to them. All this turbid condition now in this industry accords with the universal law: any industry at its beginning is full of participators that differ in their capability and professional status. As mentioned above, the investigation is about the suggestion of revision of the Contract Law. The background is that the Contract Law has become effective more than 10 years since July 1994. The economic environment has changed greatly during this period. The small amending on some parts of the law can no longer meet the needs of the economy development. So it’s time for comprehensive revision on the law. In order to ensure the perfect function of the law, not only perfect theory but also accurate comprehension of the real needs of the society is needed. To gain the attitude and suggestions of companies to the pre-revision, the Enterprise Economic Research Institute of the Center determined to carry on “an investigation of the suggestions of the revision of the Contract Law”. And the very executor of the investigation is BOBI. BOBI accepted the mission according to several reasons: the first is that the action tallies with the function of the industry, the second is that we are always urged by the responsibility to the society, the third one is that BOBI can not only spread its operation extension but also build up a good public impression of the business investigation in China. Business investigation excludes the detection of marriage affairs, family violence, community property, the suchlike and so on.
